We’re attending our first convention, the Bristol Comic Expo on May 12-13th, 2012, and we’ll have a limited run of B&W previews of Butterfly Gate: Beginnings and the first part of Porcelain: A Gothic Fairy Tale with us. Both books are the work of Benjamin Read and Chris Wildgoose, and have a dark, fairy tale air to them.
Butterfly Gate follows two Enfants as they leave our world and rules behind, while Porcelain: A Gothic Fairy Tale explores the relationship between an orphan and the reclusive Porcelain Maker who adopts her.
This year the convention is moving back to Bristol’s Brunel Old Station and, fingers crossed, if all goes to plan we’ll have a table where you can find Chris Wildgoose, Laura Trinder and I. Chris and Laura will be sketching and taking commissions, and Chris will be signing and personalising books too. I’ll be doing nothing so clever, but will be there to answer any questions you have about our upcoming books and projects.
We’ll also be joined on our table by Bevis Musson, another Improper collaborator, who will be bringing his Dead Queen Detectives with him, including a new Dead Queens Omnibus.
If you’re going to Bristol, please stop by and say hello.
