We’re delighted to be attending Lakes International Comic Art Festival this coming Saturday and Sunday, 17-18th October, in Kendal. We’ll be in the Comics Clock Tower throughout the weekend, on the ground floor, admission to which is free.

Benjamin Read, Chris Wildgoose, Sara Dunkerton, and Matt Gibbs will be attending LICAF this year. Ben and Chris will have copies of their latest book, Briar, which subverts the fairy tale tradition of the princess imprisoned behind a hedge of thorns, turning it into something dark, bittersweet, and original. In addition, they will have their other creator-owned titles, such as Porcelain: A Gothic Fairy Tale and Butterfly Gate, at the table. Ben will also have copies of Night Post, which he co-created with Laura Trinder – a perfect book for all-ages and for Halloween. And speaking of all-ages, Sara and Matt will have copies of their anthropomorphic adventure, MULP: Sceptre of the Sun, and Matt will also have copies of Knight & Dragon, which he co-created with Bevis Musson.
